Site Updates
Read the story for information on the new fan art, fan fiction and links that have been added to Lavender Eyes during January.
Lavender Eyes would like to welcome four new artists to the site: Goldseven, Thomas Ambriel, Matt and Drizztrper. Goldseven's gallery has some great pictures of Zaknafein, Drizzt, Guen, Montolio and Entreri in it. In Thomas Ambriel's gallery, you'll find some cool sketches of Drizzt, Catti-Brie and a beer-drinking Wulfgar. Drizztrper has sent in a nice picture of a contemplative Drizzt, and Matt has submitted a picture of a fierce-looking, scimitar-wielding Drizzt.

Some beautifully coloured pictures of Zaknafein, Drizzt and Nalfein have been added to Anya al'nighter's gallery, as have some Marvel-influenced pictures of Zaknafein, Jarlaxle and Entreri. Etenar had added some more cool anime-style pictures of Zaknafein and Jarlaxle to her gallery.

With regard to fan fiction, Entreri, trapped in the Underdark, plays a deadly game in Anya al'Nighter's L'Sarol. Check out Soliloquy by Anya al'Nighter--a story about a day in the life of Rizzen Do'Urden. She-Cat's ongoing Drizzt/Catti romance, A New Beginning, reaches epic proportions--will Drizzt and Catti ever be happy? Jarlaxle unearths some long-forgotten letters meant for Drizzt in Arachnae's Memories--who is the mysterious person that wrote them? Read the story and find out! Drizzt fights his last battle in Dual Scimitarz's The Final War. True Colours, by SL Smith, attempts to shed some light on the period of Drizzt's life when he was Vierna's weanson. In the high-octane extravaganza that isn't SL Smith's A Perfect Day, Drizzt celebrates his birthday with Catti-brie.

Two new links have been added. Livingfantasy is a site dedicated to the elves of the Forgotten Realms. It has a wealth of information on dark elves, including some original and interesting essays on the drow economy and the role of males in their society. Have you ever wondered where the word 'drow' came from? Visit this site and find out!
